Full Home Remodel
Hunting Chateau Reimagined
This project was a full-home renovation, designed as a rustic yet refined retreat for gathering, relaxation, and escape. Originally a 1950s–60s ranch with notable character, the home was taken down to its block foundation and completely rebuilt, allowing for a reimagined layout and partial second floor while preserving meaningful elements from the original structure. The vision was to create two distinct environments - one for family living and one tailored for hosting hunters -without sacrificing cohesion or comfort.
The redesigned home blends rustic and eclectic influences through thoughtful material selections and custom craftsmanship. Highlights include reclaimed barnwood flooring, custom cabinetry, double chiseled-edge countertops, antler lighting, and Garman-built custom built-ins, all paired with integrated smart home technology. One of the most meaningful features is the preserved stone basement bar, originally built by the home’s first owner using stone sourced directly from the property. The bar was carefully modernized with a revised layout and topped with a live-edge wood surface, restoring it as a functional and sentimental centerpiece of the home.
On the exterior, the transformation is just as striking. Timber framing on the front porch, Hardie® board siding, black windows, and a custom Quality Stone blend give the home a bold yet timeless presence. From foundation to finishes, every inch of this home was thoughtfully redesigned - resulting in a one-of-a-kind retreat that honors the past while delivering a fully modern living experience.
