Project Info
The renovation of the original farmhouse and adjacent shed represents a comprehensive design vision to transform existing structures into a refined extension of a wedding venue. The project sought to preserve the historic character of the property while introducing modern amenities that elevate both functional performance and the guest experience. The farmhouse was carefully reconfigured to serve the needs of a wedding venue, with the second floor designed as a dedicated bridal suite featuring custom makeup counters, a full bath, a lounge, and a bar and food preparation area. This layout provides a comfortable and convenient space for bridal parties to get ready together. On the first floor, a catering-support kitchen accommodates both in-house operations and outside vendors, while a private guest suite with bedroom and full bath was integrated to provide newlyweds the flexibility of overnight accommodations.
The adjacent shed was adapted into the groom’s quarters. Within this space, a lounge, bar, and full bath create comfort and convenience, while oversized wood doors open directly to the landscaped grounds. By linking interior and exterior spaces, the design enhances the ambiance and encourages outdoor gatherings.
The site was designed to bring the farmhouse and shed together with thoughtful landscaping and hardscaping. Pathways connect the two buildings while highlighting views of a new stream on the property, creating a unified setting that enhances the overall experience of the venue.
This project reflects a deliberate balance of adaptive reuse, contemporary hospitality, and sensitivity to the site. The result is a timeless, multifunctional extension of the venue that strengthens the architectural identity of the property while offering couples and their guests an elevated and unforgettable experience.
